Scott is a military veteran with a Top-Secret Clearance and 10+ years of proven experience as a high-level program manager and acquisition specialist in the Department of Defense. During his 26 year Naval career, he headed Quality Assurance Departments, managed Aviation Initial Qualification Programs, and served as a Master Training Specialist. Scott also spent 12 years in Naval Special Warfare (NSW) as an Unmanned Aircraft Systems subject matter expert, and was the senior leader for the Acquisition and Resourcing for NSW personnel and equipment. His career was equally divided among being a worker, manager, and senior staff in Naval Aviation commands, as well as an executive level leader, operator, and acquisitions specialist in NSW. Scott’s last tour of duty afforded him the opportunity to learn U.S. Navy and Special Operations Command rules and regulations for acquisitions and resourcing where he managed two programs of record worth over $1B combined. He also used and applied innovative leadership tactics to manage and drive research and development in support of those programs. Since retiring in December 2019, Scott has been pivotal in helping small businesses implement battle-proven leadership techniques, develop/improve organizational effectiveness, and write ground-breaking technological proposals to a variety of defense-related contract opportunities.
